Missing Moose

The Yankees didn't make the playoffs in '08. With 89 victories however, at least they kept it interesting going into September. Mike Mussina had a career year, posting 20 wins for the first time in his career. 5 years from now when he first appears on a Hall of Fame ballot, none of his detractors can mention the 20 win milestone. He never did win a World Series ring, but thats: (Mariano's fault in '01, A-Rod since '04, and Wang in '07)

  1. Was it Wang's fault in '07 that Moose was pitching so horribly that he wasn't even in contention for starting that fourth game (not to mention the second or third)? Or that they had to bring Ian Kennedy up from Triple A to bail out Moose for the remainder of the season?

I know for a fact that it was Moose's fault that the locker room perpetually smelt like an assisted living home and quiet desperation. It was also Moose's fault that not only was this "future Hall of Famer" never the Yankee's Ace #1 Starter, he wasn't even ever our #2 guy.

In this man's opinion letting him into Cooper's Town would make Moose a Hall Defamer™.
